PHysical engine GTL runs is the origional one from F1 2001/F1 2002/F1C/GTR. ie, the @#$%& one.

I think its fairly modified from then, as it was already much better in GTR

Its the same engine, its just better values they have entered (altho GTR did add the track grip going up, which isnt hard to do). Alot of F1C mods seem to have better physics than the origional because of the values alone

thr track environment and scenery i've seen in the screenshots so far has been nothing but crap. kinda ruins the feeling when you have those amazing looking cars...

thats what im talking about - screenshots from the demo...not ones posted on their site using some supercomputer. the scenery and environment looks like f1c just with high res textures.

no, play it, dont look at screenshots. Screenshots dont do rFactor, or GTL justice. Dijon looks brilliant when driving

also Dijon is a very ugly and plain track in real life

imo the track list for GTL is pretty boring, as was the GTR tracks.. I need something different to the bog standard european tracks now tbh

Yeah they are great tracks, really wish we could have the GTR and GTL tracks in rfactor. I've heard its actually easy to get the GTL tracks working, might even buy it just for that.

yeah it is possible. We've been debating it on the US Pits, Team tundra and RSC forums so far. Still not sure where we stand

I dont see the problem if you own GTL, trouble is people will get hold of it who don't and I don't blame simbin at all for trying to stop it happening for that reason.

both simulations have the tracks on which the 2 series (Fia GT and Fia classics (or something like that)) race in real life.

I dont see the problem if you own GTL

Doesnt matter if you own GTL or not. You dont buy the game, you buy the license and the license doesnt allow you to do this. No game, other than rFactor has allowed a license to do this, but for the sake of the game a blind eye is normally turned

The exceptions of course being Codemasters, iRacing (who forget there fanbase was created mostly from GPL modding) and Simbin (who forget they started off modding, and now they dont allow it)
