AGP Fast Write

Not entirely sure if this is the correct forum to post it in, but it is to do with a game.

I have been attempting to get the GTR demo to work on my computer, and the SimBin website is telling me to switch AGP fast write on.

What is this feature? I want to get GTR working but not at the price of my graphics card blowing its brains out. Does it put more stress on my GFX card or ne other part of my computer?

if you have an ATI card then this setting is under properties/settings/advance/SMARTGART

there you can set the AGP speed and you can turn the fast write on

I don't think it hurts your card

Sometimes needs to be enabled in BIOS too, on older PCs.

Generally, if you experience instabilities when turning it on, turn it off again, otherwise it's only a good thing.
