...and if you look just under N2003 you'll see a game ten times better for a tenth of the price :D

LOL! I don't agree that GPL is ten times better than NR2003 though.
And as Dave said on that board, even if it was real price NR2003 is worth that.

Fair enough. Some like apples, others like oranges. I like GPL :)

...that is the real price, if that's what you meant ;)

As I've said on here at some point recently, I'd happily pay well over £100 for GPL, even now, 7 years after release. Same for NR2003.

Those that race these sims... think how many hours you do... an example: for the Nurburgring 1000km in January, Dave, Koop and I practised all the way through December - we put an astonishing number of hours into testing, and that was just for 1 race.

VTR have endurance races each month now (ranging from 6 to 24 hours each), and this is the sort of commitment we put into it - you can't put a price on this sort of thing - it's not some NFS:U arcade game, this is essentially real racing without G-forces, and the drivers that partipate in it, put in commitment that can only be described as stupid. It's that serious.

Papy could have charged what they like for NR2003 and GPL, and I'd still have bought them.

Yeah, I'm not overly convinced GPL is as sim as NR2003 and GP4, and the custom setups are very unrealistic (apparently you couldn't trail-brake in RL), but it's an art in itself, it provides a challange that most will say is unlike any other game in existance, and really seperates the men from the boys. It's bordering on sim-sim, but I'd say it was only sim, if you get what I mean.

It beats most things into the ground with a big tree trunk still :P

true wats sed above...

about the BRM employee i bet he felt obliged to say it..

its like wen Webber sed GP4 was realistic... lol

Well, realistic or not, I'm using this as the best example I've seen.

Mark Webber did 4 laps at Monza at a show, back in his Jaguar days - he'd never even seen GPL - his last lap was a 1:30.xxx - that's easily the best first laps I've ever heard of, in any sim, let alone GPL... so it at least brings out the racing credentials in people ;)
