RSC says there renders. If thats renders to show off there models, then thats pathetic. The only nice bit is the detail in that damage model. :|

I just got my Codematers email regarding V8 Supercars 2005 (Australian version of TOCA/DTM Race Driver 3). There's not one mention of Williams in it. Could it be that we'll miss out? If so then I'm certainly not going to be getting it.

Here's the contents:

I've been looking forward to writing this Revved Up ever since I first saw what was afoot across the Codemasters compound in Juice Studio. That we're working on a new V8 Supercars game will probably come as little surprise, given the rumours that have been flying around the internet in the past couple of months, but the news is, well, just how much further we're taking the most in-depth and wide- ranging motorsport experience available on console and PC.

So what's new for V8 2005? Where to start? A natural point would be the 2005 V8 Supercars line-up, including both the V8 Supercar Championship Series and HPDC V8 Supercar series as separate championships in their own rights - and you can play through them with full qualifying in the new Pro-Career mode, that's detailed later in the mail.

What else? Well, there's the wonderfully varied grid of the GT championship, where you can see front-engined TVRs and Monaros battling it out with mid-engined Moslers and Nobles.

Other Long-time series favourites, the extreme-looking cars of the DTM, are back. With new tracks, cars and drivers to reflect the 2005 season.

If you like your racing cars a little older, then we've got Grand Prix cars from the 30s, 50s, and 60s, 80s, and 90s. there are Endurance racers from the 70s, and more.

The physics engine has been revamped, with the intention of making you, the player, feel more connected to where the action is happening where rubber meets road (or gravel, or mud). The signature damage system has been upgraded again, and now every car component has a weight, and an aerodynamic effect. In addition to the damage sustained from collisions, the cars in V8 Supercars 2005 can change during a race as fuel burns, tyres warm up, then wear out, the engine warms up, and if the radiator gets blocked or damaged, will slowly overheat.

If you still want the instant thrills of the previous V8 Supercars games, that's still there in World Tour mode, where you'll work your way through lots of championships and cars in a quick-fire, no- waiting manner. Or, if you want to go in depth, with optional full length races and qualifying, pick the Pro Career mode. Choose a path in Oval racing, Rallying, Touring Cars, GT and Endurance, Historic Racing, and Open-Wheel, and work your way to the pinnacle of your chosen field of motorsport, whatever that may be.

The new career system sounsd dodgy actually :s

I said before that the appeal was its "pick-up-and-play" format, and they are in danger of taking that element away from the game. Might have to wait for the CheatGen programme to come out before I get RD3 if that's the case.

Grand prix cars from the 60s. Hmm, I somehow don't think it'll be challenging GPL though! :)

This game will feature a flag system where if you score enoug points(for "transgressions" ie cutting corners etc(whatever etc. is)) then you will be ejected from the game.

Lol, nice.

They havn't... the pro career mode is an alternative to the "pick up and play" style of world tour mode.
