Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater

so who has it? got mine a few days ago and thought it didn't have the magic the first 2 MGS games had.

good game nevertheless but the intro music really annoys me - like a poor James Bond theme

I got and i think it alot harder than MGS2 but still a good game,

Also i think it help to explain alot about the story.

I have it bought a new PS2 mainly for this.
Must admit, the intro music isn't any where near as memorable as that of MGS2, but it fits the period of the game incredibly well.
The difficulty is a real step up, but it's managable if you take it slowly.
Oh, can we keep any specific references to a minimum? I still have a lot of the game to complete.

I've played the demo. Think it's pretty good. Wish they'd remake the first with the MGS2 engine (so u can use 1st person etc)

They did for GameCube TBH, the first person view made it far too easy, the maps just wern't designed for it.

I might do that aswell, mine is old and crappy.

and i want to buy this game, i love the first 2!! :D

I may get it this weekend, since GTA SA had nothing to play on my PS2 :P and it will give me something to play until Brothers In Arms is released for the PC :D

Heh, from what I've heard about it I can wait untill it's released on the PC/Xbox.

I thought it was ps2 exclusive?

Probably will be for a few months, then go multi-platform when Konami stop making money out of it.

I doubt it will move on to any other platforms.

According to IGN there's a PC version in the works.

a PC version that would be nice :D Although I'll probaly get the PS2 version as I've got one and two so may as well complete the trillogy Going to get GT4 first then save up for Snake Eater hopefully no one will spoil the story line by that time

yea I have hmv vouchers from both my bosses at my part time work which add up to £30 so I'll play GT4 then get Metal Gear :D

I'm gonna complete MGS1, MGS2 and then get MGS3. Just defeated Revolver Ocelot in MGS1. It's really hard on a black and white 4" telly...

:| You need to get a better telly lol. MSG1 was the best game I had ever played for the playstation. I still remember standing in a line for ages outside the local game store just to get my copy Then MSG2 that was amazing the cut scenes were amazing and so was the game. Can't wait to get MGS3 as it looks and sounds stunning :D

Indeed, get a better telly, MGS3 deserves it.

ah, the PS2 has the proper telly. just the B/w is all i have in my room with my PS1. My PS2 refuses to read the MGS disc for some reason-stupid console. MGS3 is the only reason that I still have my PS2. was gonna sell it for money towards my guitar fund, cos the PS1 is better, and the megadrive better than that imo. Only MGS2 stands out on PS2 as being worth anything.
