As our more dialed-in readers probably know, Konami has been not-so-quietly working on its "Gran Turismo-killer" for some three years now, and we finally got plenty of time with the jaw-dropping Enthusia Professional Racing. It wasn't quite all the time we needed, as Enthusia is one demanding, no-nonsense mistress.

And it sounds promising... and looks stunning!! Not sure if it'll beat GT4 though...

I've seen videos for it, comparing a real test with a Mazda ingame and real life. The game behaved amazingly accurate to the real life example, as in handling, car movement, sliding....!!!

It does look fecking good though

why don't they produce these for the hardcore PC sim racers? i know its due to money but its soooooo unfair that the console market get the best looking games albeit with crappy gameplay and physics

why dont they wake up and smell the coffee?

Or more commonly known as side-car racing.

Anyway... it does *look* rather stunning. But remember GT4 *looks* relatively realistic in replays.... ;-)

I have to agree... although rFactor is looking to change that so far.

nowt much wrong with console games-at least u know they're gonna work when u buy them, unlike PC games *coughs* GP4 *coughs*

GT3 was rubbish though-GT2 was way better

Tell that to people that bought thief 3 for the xbox and then there was a discovery of a difficulty level reset bug. The PC version got a patch. The xbox version was basically screwed.

Xbox and PS2 have 128-bit processing power, whereas most end-user PCs have only 32-bit (most of the forum members here will be using 64-bit, but even so that's only half as powerful).

That's why consoles get the top-level graphic games.

You're saying that this looks better than Doom3?

The problem with PCs is that they have to release games that are flexible in working well with hundreds of different configurations of processor, RAM, video card, sound card, operating system, you name it.

You'll find that the limiting factor is usually the graphics card btw, not the CPU ;-)

I think you'll also find they're edited shots, as Andy almost inadvertantly points out.

Andy, but you can't expect a car to be all bright and shiny when it is a cloudy day, or during a sunset, I like how it looks. If anyone is interested, go here:

[www.outerspace.com.br] , and where it says "Busca," type in Enthusia, and look for whatever link has the game, and the video should be available :)

I thought it said euthanasia too.

Haven't we already got good looking, semi-realistic (at best), console games on PC with anything from crapmasters. And look how they get slated (although a lot of that is because they think their games are the ultimate in hardcore sim-racing!)
