rFactor - Game Save?

Good day

Started playing the AWESOME rFactor.

So is there any way to save a race? Coz sometimes something comes up that I need the computer for and I want to save the game.

I googled but got nothing.

Nope, it's not possible to save mid-race. I miss that from GP3

Wow, that's sad. Then I will have to think very carefully about doing full races. That's just a silly non-feature. All racing games have it.

All of the good games I've played have it, except Colin McRae series, but those stages are so short anyway that you don't have the same problems, and you can still save between stages.

Sad thing is that F1 2010 won't have a game save feature either.

The only sim-like game which has ever had to my knowledge has been the GPx series. None of the proper sims have ever had a mid-race save feature. It's not very simulation like.

AFAIK GTR2 has a save feature.

GTR1 had it as well. GTL I'm not sure on.

How odd that they had it, but rFactor doesn't. More to the point, i'm surprised no-one managed to work it in as an add-on - are they that different under the bonnet?

I stand corrected. I had no idea they offered a save-game option.

Most do offer one between sessions of course.

You can always press pause. Words of utter genius, I know...

Pausing the PC every few hours and not being able to use it? Man, that's a genius idea indeed.
