Nice LS! :D Are you running at 1680x1050 or 1920x1200? I tried it at 1920x1200 but my SLi 7800GT's had a fit ;)

I'm revisiting HL2 too in preperation for Episode 1's which should be arriving tomorrow YAYZ :)

I also see CS:S hasn't changed a bit, bunch of n00bs ;) If I play any multiplayer Valve game it'll be Day Of Defeat: Source :)

1680x1050, thats all my monitor will go upto, still looks awesome with FSAA & FSAF

with my old CRT i had it running at 2048 or thereabouts and it didnt look that much different to 1600 x 1200
i play DOD quite regular too, theres some new updates for it soon from valve apparently, like missions and graphical updates

sweet :)

Valve Rock!!

I'm looking forward to episode 1 coming out. Should have a whale of a time with my 1.53 GHz and radeon 9550 :)

HL2 works perfectly though, so episode 1 shouldn't have any trouble i'd hope.

It has that fancy lighting thing the demonstrated in lost coast, but I think you can turn that off. For how it looks like HL2 has a very efficient engine.

How good will Episode 1 look on my 2400 Sempron, 5700 GeForceFX, 1.25GB RAM?

Getting Episode 1 tomorrow, I'm so looking forward to it. I need to finish HL2 first though.

I've played a bit of it. So far so good. I would post screenies but my computer doesnt do it justice and I'm afraid of spoiling it.

And I run it on these specs:

Athlon 1800+ XP
512MB RAM
Radeon 9550

and it still looks pretty good, so anyone above that should be fine.

Oh come on!! I know I may be a bit too good at HL2 ;) and its only £17.99 But completed in 4 hours!! On Hard mode :/

I did take some shots, but I pasted them into Paint and they've gone a bit funky, I'll take some more tomorrow :)

I'm a bit torn by it, On one side, the GFX are fantastic (I will take some screenies soon :D) The storyline is great and the atmosphere is really great too... But theres still the fact that its way too short imo, you really start getting into the game well, really start enjoying it then.. f**k, its ended! :/ maybe if these Episodes were released more often I wouldn't mind, but the next one is due Nov/Dec 06 time and Ep 3 is due Dec 07 o_O Half Life 2 alone was quite short compared to Half Life, But 4 hours! Blue Shift was ripped apart because it was 6 hours I dread to think what reviews will make of 4 hours...

IMO if you can get it for $19 then yeah its fine, £17.99, no way, too expensive imo... Noticed on the Steam forums that everyone is deleting all the complaints on there and all that are left are the handful of ass kissers :) Good old Valve!
