Grand Prix World

Does anyone have this for the PC, an F1 management game? If you do, is it any good?

I dont have it, but I believe its the best there is so far.

Graphicly its the best F1 Manager sim so far but in terms of gameplay its not that great....

in terms of gameplay Gpm2 is the best

I have it. I managed to complete all the seasons with McLaren, and got a nice money tree rolling. Though I haven't played it for about 2 years.

GPGSL S5 Race driver for IED.

GPW isn't worth playing tbh, which is a real pity! It is a great game! The GFX are okay and Contract Negotiations in it are fantastic, Testing is great! but thats where it ends, for starters you have to set up your cars with points which is crap, not like GPM2 where you can change every bit of the setup and in the races, if it rains a little bit no matter what car they are in, Damon Hill and Schumacher will dominate! The races are too slow to watch. Its a pity cause it has massive potential...

The game to look out for is F1CM [www.f1cm.co.uk] but thats been in testing for god knows how long now!

Yes, GPW is 50% the best F1 manager sim out there, and 50% the most horrendously annoying game ever produced.

I'd say it's the best game out there (GPM2 is subject too much to manipulation, it's too easy) but at the same time, not to be taken too seriously.

I have had GPM (not 2) for a few years now, and still enjoy it today. Will I enjoy GPW if that's the case?

I couldn't make the move to it, no. GPM(2) all the way, still.

I would say the Hardest F1 Manager games if you want a challenge and if you can find them, are F1 Manager and F1 Manager Professional by Software 2000, I have F1 Manager on CD and F1 Manager Pro is avalible on Home Of The Underdogs, they are the best Manager games for anyone who wants a challenge, cause its really impossible!!

If you enjoy GPM, then you would probably enjoy GPM2 more than GPW, GPM's Testing system is miles better! but GPM2 is alot easier to mod (For starters it has a proper editor!) Hence can make mods for it properly!

I've had a look at GPM2, but it looks exactly the same as GPM. Is it worth getting it? I'm considering getting GPW more at the moment.

GPM 2 is free and if you go to [www.gp4sound.com] you can find new seasons for it there!

Yeah, thats why I'm doing the 2006 mod from scratch and testing every part of it to see where I'm tripping myself up, probably something stupidly simple as usual, but its finding it which is the problem

is that annoying buf still in the game, where after a few seasons, say your driver is leading and is coming up to lap a slower driver and somehow they swap positions, so your driver becomes last and the backmarker first!!!? that annoyed me to no end :-/
