Neil, they have many uses... what is the difference of talking to someone on Myspace than MSN ?

I can send a message/comment to someone and get a reply just as fast as MSN... It too is realtime chat.

Myspace and Facebook are not that much different to a forum... Facebook is good for organizing events, and meeting new people, and just in case you loose your phone you can always set up a group to get peoples numbers :p

Also myspace is alot easier than MSN or a phone...

I have 159 myspace friends, there are 2bands, other than that I know and have met 156 friends, it is just Marc (of here) who I havent met.

And lets be fair, as a student, i have little money, and so I will not spend it ringing 156 people up... I rarley use MSN, and again, lets be fair, I dont want 156 contacts..

Myspace and Facebook are far easier.

I don't have anything against Facebook in principle, it's "another way of doing the same thing" as far as communications are concerned, but what bugs me is the people who use Facebook AT THE EXPENSE OF things like phone, letters, meeting in person, etc. It implies that they're only friends by convenience, chatting to you simply because they're online. IMHO real friends will talk to you because they want to, not simply because it's easy. That's what the phone is for.
