What is your favorite sci-fi films/series?

dont have to watch it now :P good thing i seen it!

I watched Time Tunnel when I was a kid, too - guess that's what you did growing up in the 70s. I haven't seen it in a long, long time, but I'd really love to.

I also vaguely remember an 80s BBC series called The Tripods.

And then there was this great 80s Czechoslovakian TV series called Die Besucher in German (Expedition Adam '84 in the former GDR) about a group of scientist from the 25th century who travel back into the 1980s to save the early works of the genius that would later save the world, only that this "genius" turns out to be an 11 year old rascal who is thick as bread.

I hear that. The Matrix was preachy religious bullshit. Then they insulted us even further with two piss poor sequels.

I do quite enjoy the Stargate SG1 series and Futurama (does that count?)

Oh yeah, did also like the Alien movies (yes, even Resurrection), and the Predator ones as well, although the AvP movie sucked balls.

V was very good, I got it on DVD a while ago, only to find out there's a second series or something that hasn't be released on DVD, annoying.

Futurama? Of course, how could I forget
It's one of my favorite sci-fi cartoon series...

Back to the Future trilogy comes near the top for me...haven't spotted any obvious mistakes/plot holes. And all the same actors as different characters in their families was a master stroke.

TV - Quantum Leap...and theres no knocking The Hoff and Knight Rider

I've said it before, but when talking sci fi, there's only one masterstroke film - 2001: A Space Odyssey. Its just so incredible. Keep in mind it was out before man went ot the moon, the premise, the models, the effects and the photography are just mindblowing. Kubrick's finest, imo.
