You can't justify to people spending over £100 on a mouse and keyboard, but you need something you're entirely comfortable with, be it a third-hand OEM job, or something like the DiNovo. I bought a Logitech Ultra-X keyboard to replace my DiNovo, which does appear to be properly deaded unfortunately, and it's not even close. It's harsh on the keys, has none of the tactile feedback - it has little going for it at all to be honest. But it has a small footprint, and does its job, so it'll keep me going until I find something better.

I won't beat around the bush. There is no keyboard like the DiNovo. It rocks.

Tis why I got my DiNovo off ebay for £50 :D

The Dell 2405FPW is a seriously good monitor, and definitely justifies it's £650 price tag, or whatever you can find it for. Personally, this is the system I'd like:

AMD Athlon64 4000+
Crucial / Corsair / OCZ / Kingston / other branded 4 GB DDR(2) RAM
NForce4 SLI Motherboard with decent overclockability
2 NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX graphics cards in SLI mode
At least 500W modular power supply, that isn't as loud as a jet engine(!)
DVD+-RW drive
SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal1ty

Unfortunately, this is gonna cost upwards of £500, which is money I don't have. :(

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld

GPGSL S5 Race driver for IED.

closer to 1000 mate!

Also if you go for 4gb ram, you have ot use all 4 ram slots, which the amd64 still doesnt like, so will run at 2T rather than 1t timings, at 3200 speed. Hopefully that'll be fixed by M2.

Or, in my case, the unbranded keyboard you inherited from the spare parts of an old Patriot PC ;)

Seriously, I've never used a better keyboard IMO :)

You'd want one of the Abit Fa1ali1y boards I'd think...

DFI or Epox overclock the best, as does the new ASUS one, but that has serious layout issues.

With the ASUS you can only have 1 PCI card realistically. Apparently you can fit cards in the other 2 slots, but they're so close to the coolers on the graphics cards, that they get almost cooked, and the cooling's severely hampered on the graphics cards too.

It's a wonderful board otherwise.

Try putting two 7800 gtx's in there, and they are too close

No you clot... the PCI slots are too close to the PCI-E slots... not the PCI-E slots too close to each other. [edit: at Iain]

Do some research - check out a review on a dedicated hardware site, or look up some opinions in a proper dedicated forum, such as the Overclockers.co.uk one.
