Nvidia det 40.41's :)

Word up, nvidia has released these new babies, altho they are on website, they are beta at mo, however, ppl have been experiencing huge performance increases, particularly with gf4's, ie 700 3dmark2001 points increase. I think these are the new det 5's. check em out

I had that too cai, you've got to go to add/remove programs and remove the nvivia drivers you've got from there. then reboot and install the new ones

Ok report:

Card: Geforce 4mx 420 - P4 2ghz Intel Processor -WinXP - 256mb DDR ram

I dont have 3dmark - but what I can say is WOW - my graphics in GP4 are now stunning! The options in the graphics menu in the desktop are now great, lot more options in each menu.

Before, I was running GP4 looking only okay at 800x600 at 34fps. I'm down to 30fps at 800x600 - but everything looks absolutely stunning! Download these now!!!!

why does my XP work so shite in GP4 and GPL I get vastly better performance in win98se than XP pro. but I prefer using XP for everything else as win98 is always crashing and the sound sometimes stops in games. its a right pain in the ass

n e body have a help file to install this driver?

cause well i dont wan to f**k up my pc and it is the first time with this pc ( in windows XP) overwriting the previous drivers....

You don't overwrite.

You go to add/remove programs in control panel, and remove the current display driver. After you reboot, install the 40.41 detenators, and reboot again, et voila.

Yeah of course you can!

Just go into display properties like normal and put what options you want on or off for your card.

Man you dunno what you're missing. These drivers make games look GREAT!!!

This is what we shoulda had ages ago.....NVIDIA are obviously scared of what the Radeon 9000 (is it?) can do, and got these drivers out quick.

i agree Chris. There's a strange bug if you run desktop 16bit and game 32bit
