Scalextric

Hi,

How many people on here have a scalextric set?

I was never allowed one when i was a child - only a microscalextric, which was rubbish because the cars were glued down with magnets. Thinking of getting a proper one soon, but I just wanted to ask anyone who has one, are the cars similarly glued down now with the 'magnatraction' system? When I used to play on a friend's old set the cars were fun to use because you had to be really careful on the corners or else they came off. I was wondering whether the new system stops that.

Can you easily take the magnets out of the cars if you don't want them?

look, the magnets put in the floor in the car are easy adjustable with a screwdriver. but be careful because if you remove them completely depending the weight of your car it will get off the too often to be funny
