Got to watch the whole event unfold, where there were Armed Response Officers, police dogs and a jet fighter. So there have been crazy gunmen in Northumberland, Cumbria...and Somerset.

And although the people of Wells have seen Simon Pegg running about in police uniform, this was the real thing. The real Hot Fuzz.

Best free period yet, I think.

EDIT - Apparently someone is being held hostage. Above a Chinese takeaway.

Turned out it was a plastic toy gun from the pound shop. Such a disappointment.
