They are deeply concerned over the crisis in the Mexican Gulf. So much so, that they recently opened a brand new Crisis Command Center. You would think they would use their budget to hire staff to do all sorts of cool crisis management things... instead, the budget is used on photoshop

... and it is low budget!

Oil companies seem to be poor at PR in the light of disastrous spills don't they? You would have thought they'd learn from each other's mistakes and employ a decent crisis management and contingency policy.....but no...

The top oil companies do learn from each others mistakes...

They copied each others response plans!

They are so good, that they are even going to save walruses. They have not been in the Gulf for 3 million years, but that is just a minor detail. The important thing is that they have 40 pages on media management, and 13 samples of press releases!

Edit: I forgot the turtle expert, that is listed as a contact person at University of Miami. He hasn't worked there for 19 years. More worryingly he died in 2005!
