Smug mode on/
Who would've thought it. I took a water sample from my pool into town today, for a test at the local pool shop.
They tested my pool water and gave me a certificate for having absolutely perfect pool water. Woo! Think I'll go for a swim now. lol! :-)

I can't imagine that you didn't have any idea of how the water was before you took that sample, if you knew it was bad, you wouldn't have done that, would you?

Is the smugness derived from having good pool water or just having a pool? ;)

The water looks ok, but it's hard to tell if it's really any good just by looking at it. Anyway, I've taken a sample in before, when it looked ok, and they were like, "Woah mate, get some chlorine in there, and you need ph buffer and blah blah blah" and I walk out of the shop with enough stuff to make a bomb! I've got one of those little test kits, but fiddly and hard to match up the colour. So i was kinda chuffed to get a certificate, I'll probably never see another one. :-)

When you went in with the water and gave them the sample did baloons fall from the roof with a congratulations banner?

Probably one of the most random certificates ive heard of ;)!

So, the water's crap, but the chlorine's fantastic! Wait a minute. A private pool? (The Mortal portal?) In Melbourne? There's water in it? Really, a pool full in this Melbourne drought is as smug as a bonus from AIG.

And here's me with my 4 minute, blue sand 'shourglass'.

Mortal, watch out for koalas so they don't drown! Also, you know snakes can be quite sneaky and dangerous, especially since you get a few in your garden! It might be better not to have a pool cover than to have one and get some flat blocks of marble around not only to look nice but also to make things better visible.

Oh yeah, pictures needed ;).

Drown? I'd shoot the bastards so they don't contaminate his shiny certificated poolwater.

I am not, I just hate living things.

Especially koalas.

There was - they played Waltzing Matilda, put a prawn on the barbie, cracked open a tinny, got all rotten and peed in your pool? D'oh.

I have an above ground pool, 4.5m dia 1.3m deep. Excavated into sloping ground so only about half of the pool is at ground level. That's what Gui is on about.

Snakes in Albert Park? The nearest Koala is in Melbourne Zoo! The flat blocks of marble? Picture needed.
