Sugestion for forum signatures - 2nd Sugestion added

Hi guys,
I was reading some topics and i see signatures that really a lot bigger
than the messages they wright in the forum.
Here is an example of what i mean:

For obvious reasons i deleted certain parts in order not to acuse anyone
but i wanted show this example because its annoying reading just one little sentence and its like the person that put that signature kind of wanting big attention at him at all costs. If you look carefully at the size you will notice its almost half a page.

Can something be done about it?

I agree that some sigs are too big. And mostly with stuff nobody ever reads really...

Maybe implementing a rule with a set amount of text or amount of lines would be a good idea?

Please keep your sig pics below 20k and preferable in normal banner size (something like 600 x 100)

The banner size seems to be referring to the pic itself, if you ask me.

Hi guys,
Here i have my second suggestion:

The general idea is to keep a minimum space for signatures like the
red arrows are pointing but it would be interesting if like a "Word"
editor could be added into the signature and put a image and next to
it some text. This way i think it can be nicer for reading for everything and
have a good signature for those who like and i know it can be done because
i saw it in other forums.

Opinions please.

I think it was Dave who pointed out to me that you can disable signatures too, which I didn't know about.

There is no such option. The one in the profile menu says 'Add signatures' (or something, I'm using the Dutch version), but that decides whether your own sig is automatically added to your post.

You can set it so you can't see other signatures, though it does still shows yours if you have one.

Ok But thats not what i have i mind.
My idea is to reduce clearly the size of space to use
in the signature. This will avoid the example what i
showed in the first post of this thread.

It refers to the sig pic. However the whole signature shouldn't be significantly larger than standard banner size. Picture and lots of text together is not acceptable.

Signatures that take up more than 1/4 will be removed.

Since we cannot be everywhere please send PMs to the a mod if you think a signature is too large.
