Is it possible to start with one progam, but transfer the downloaded stuff to another torrent program and continue where you left off?

thanks.

You'd have to try it, nothing ventured, nothing gained :-)

think it should work. seem to remember switching one of mine from Azureus to mininova. just load the torrent up and save it where the partial download is, then the client should check whats already there

Simon, you do realise that Azureus is a program and Mininova.... isn't, yeah? :P

It depends on the client. If one is based on another it might, if not it probably won't work (most of the time I guess). Can't say I've tried it. I just stick with uTorrent and leave it at that, saying as better doesn't exist.

but is uTorrent safe? Coz, i'm thinking of using it for the rFactor tracks, but i'm not sure if it is..

It is as safe as any other torrent client. However why would you be worried about rFactor tracks? It's not like the RIAA is swarming all over them.

Yes. uTorrent will do that for you just fine. Load up the torrent, and point it to the correct files. It will check integrity of the downloaded amount, and continue where you left off.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

of course utorrent is safe as long as you dont plan to dl any virus ridden material or copyrighted material. of course if you decide to dl copyrighted material (which i dont condone) then youre not safe no matter what prog you use incl. stuff like pg2. isp's know your ip address no matter what so dont even bother trying to conceal anything. stay legal is the only way to be safe.

The word Bastard is not only not swearing in the UK, it can be said before the watershed and appears in cartoons such as the Simpsons. Moderating it means you should start moderating any random words you find that you don't like.

Oh, and PMing me about why you edited it isn't acceptable conduct. Post it in public.

Why doesn't the swear-o-meter pick it up when you post it?

Bastard can only be used before the watershed in the UK if it fits into the context of the show.
