Oh that's harsh gareth. Doing the perfect toast is bloody difficult! I've burnt it more times than I care to mention...

i melted the shoddy plastic sheeting on the mdf above my hob at uni when i tried to shallow fry a grape. it sequentially fizzled, chargrilled the skin then exploded in a waft of flame that would make Jos Verstappen wince and stank for 3 days!

While I was away in class, my roommate during my 2nd year of uni put some food in a paper bowl and put it in the microwave for 3 minutes on high. The bowl melted, the entire floor was under a dense fog and my room and clothes and all else stank to burnt smell, which was actually good because it managed to overshadow quite well the stench coming from my roommate and his laundry bag.

When your microwave has blown up, your housemate is using the grill and you have the munchies, you try anything to get toast. Unfortunatly, a microwave appears not to be the answer

This is pretty surreal, bordering on insane, and completely brilliant!

Staying with grapes, cut it finely in half, put both halves in the microwave and watch the special effects.

As for doing toast in the microwave, don't... unless you have a very clear window, the bulb is working and you can clearly see the toast! The only thing that remotely works in the microwave is cheese on toast. Never have I done cheese on toast quicker than in a microwave. 10 seconds on high, the cheese had melted already.

mm, cheezy bagels...

I managed to set fire to some garlic bread in our oven... the plastic bag (which you are meant to leave on) was touching the side of the oven and it caught fire... now that smelt bad, and also annoyed my gf

(moral of story, don't cook for girlfriends!)

Tomorrow I'll have to cook rice, beans and perhaps ground beef too :(. Hopefully my stepmom will miraculously do it, as I really dislike cooking.
