just a quick one, i bet its a really simply sloution, but is there a way to turn off the "Find in this page" feature when the apostrophe and forward slash keys are pressed? the feature can be activated by either ctrl+f or going to Edit > Find in this page, but its happening when i press the apostrophe and forward slash too, so it makes typing with correct punctuation difficult.

typing tags is tricky also, i have to find a previous post i used tags in, go to edit post, then copy and past the slash from there.

it doesnt happen all the time, just happens now and again.

thanks.

Just tried it now, [ /'/ ] It works fine if you have selected a text box to type in, but it brings up quick find when you don't select a text box

It's a known 'bug' - I've had it happen myself.

//edit: as a worst case scenario, backup your bookmarks and delete your profile (C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\29k5lyc5.default and delete the random_folder_name.default folder). Firefox will regenerate a new one when you next start it.

it's being ok now (see, i put the "'" in :))

@ Robert, it's just random though, it happens while i'm typing. so i could be doing image tags: [ i m g ] url [ / i m g ], and when i get to the "/", it brings up the quick find window, but i'm obviously in a text box where it shouldn't happen.

@ Gav, oh right, it's just a bug. i thought it might be a feature that could be turned on and off. nevermind, it only happens onece or twice a week so it's not life threatening, just a small annoyance.

cheers both.
