Looking for a new Racing Wheel.

Ok, at the moment I have a budget Saitek R220 wheel that i got from PC World for around £30, but now I'm looking to get a more pukka wheel.

Obviously the first weheel that comes to mind is the Logitech R25 Racing Wheel, and the cheapest I've seen that is £149 which is a bit too expensive.

Are there any other quality wheels around or under the £100 mark?

I have had a MS Sidewinder FF for years now, its never let me down. (Its missing a few buttons and the grip is shot away (taped up now) but its been the longest lasting wheel i've ever had.)

I would love a G25 though....

If your looking for something awsome and serious value for money, then you cannot go past the G25.

it may be expensive but its worth every penny.

next best wheel is the Driving force pro, not sure how much that is, but its no where near as good value as the G25.

You can pick Sidewinders up on eBay really cheaply, and they are built like bricks. I had mine since the year they were released and only got rid of it because it used a gameport - something Vista says ho hum to. You can get USB versions now though.

The G25 is good value for money though. The FFB is so much better than the Sidewinders and it has a quality feel to it. My only real grip is the lack of buttons on the wheel itself. You also get the shifter which is pretty decent, and the pedals are superb too (apparnetly! I've got some BRDs so don't use them).

It (like the G25) works with the PC assuming you load the software. I can't recommend the G25 enough either. Under that you're pretty much looking at the MOMO Force Racing or the Driving Force Pro, and although I've never tried the DFP, I couldn't recommend the MOMO Force Racing. The G25 is that much better than it.

If it lasts even half as long as my old MOMO Force (the old leather red one) then I'll be delighted, given how much I use wheels.

the DFP is a good wheel, but its still a few steps below the G25

It'll probably be a custom connector with a selection of adapters

Edit: ignore this :)
