I believe flugplatz means flight path
I'm going on a flug next week.
there will be a football competition in the platz where i live.
I remember taking Flugplatz flat in 5th gear. Flew so high, the car landed at the apex of the next corner

)been there done that...in an EAGLE :P Which has even worse turn in than the lotus and i still made it flat then round the corner :P

I guess it also involved ending up a lot slower than if you'd lifted off over the bump and concentrated on the exit to the next corner
