I sometimes don't use it and I make up more places with it off, but I still own at Starts.

I have the game configured so that i can't use it in 99 and 00.

i occasionally use it depends wich track (length of straight - angle of inclination)

In F1C I use TC, LC, auto. gearbox, and another help(without it, I spun in almost every corner)
