I've got 10 1/18th Minichamps F1 cars and helmets. They just won't fit in the damn scanner...

all the cars shown about are 1/43 anyway, im a seriously collector of minichamps/onyx/quartzo 1/43 and 1/18 (only have a few they are too big and look to less detailed imho), as well as tamiya 1/20 and 1/12 kits, i will upload some of my collection in a bit, got to sort out some extra webspace first!!!

to a lesser extent i collect revell 1/24, and a few rally cars from the vittesse group (as above) such as skid, and trouffu

Ive got Subaru Impretza (old shape), Dodge Viper GTS-R, Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, Ferrari Enzo and Porsche GT2, all 1:18

I thought I had a lot, but 200+. Jeez!

trust me my collection is very small

back in 93 when i started i chose 1/18th vs 1/43 because it had more detail and plus i could never build the plastic kits

another reason was i wanted all my cars to be the same scale......i hated f1 cars being 1/20 and normal and sports cars being 1/24th scale

i only have 50 or so because i only wanted to collect supercars and/or exotics and every WC F1 car and some other racing series cars

i have all the WC cars from 1988-present (minus 92 & 93)

plus various Lambos, Ferrari, McLaren, Honda, Porsche & other cars
plus DTM, FIA GT, LeMans, 67 Lotus of Jim Clark, 70 Porsche 917 from the movie LeMans

currently I've saving up to get some 30s Mercedes Benz Silver Arrows (being a Mercedes Fan) and also the 1989 Sauber C9 that one LeMans ($300....ouch!)

whats real neat to display Jim Clark's Lotus, Montoya's CART car, and the current F1 cars......so much different

I cant afford to collect them anymore, i dont have the money for that

cool, as im a serious collector my collection did cost a hell of a lot, but as say its over 10 years, and what you do is look for deals, for example if you see my collection there are only 5 1/18s, the 2 quartzo lotus 49s, cost me £15 as a pair, the minichamps tyrrell 003 cost me £15, absolute bargin, people on ebay have been paying 100+ for it...! the hotwheels ferrari cost me 20 and the only full price one was the williams at about £45, just look for deals, you often get them on trade fairs, at the circuits, on ebay, etc

yeah its not cheap.....i figure i (used to) spend like $200 /year...some years more...some years less

bargain shopping is the way to go!

just looking through your collection now, looks great, i know someone that wants that minichamps pink pig, is it any good (including the box! lol)?

also love the can am mclarens, what make are they? minichamps?

i hope this year to come across, minichamps 1/43 tyrrell 003, the 79 ferraris, 75 ferraris, piquets bt52 (all rare and expensive (£30-80!)) the 2 bt46 fan cars, and as many 96 cars as i can get! 96 cars are the target atm, as it was one of my favorite seasons and i could never afford to buy them at the time (now they are worth loads)

i also see you have most of the exoto's (note the exception of the best cars!!! L49s, and tyr 003's) and a nice 1/18 mansell 94 williams, what manufacturer is that? onyx? minichamps?
