WTF is with xp?

hi,
30 mins after puting in the win xp cd and ive connected to the net.

last time i had xp i did an upgrade so this is tottally different.

WTF is going on??? im lost :P i cant find anything, it took me about 5 mins to try get into the "my computer" folder and try find stuff, im confused

I think you can chose between classic Win9x look and this new, colourful and irritating look in XP. DOn't know where and and how, though. Ask Ellis, he is XP-erienced

to have normal desktop go to the taskbar option in control panel (change control panel to classic view first) and change the taskbar back to the old one, this also puts the my computer, recycle bin etc.. icons back on the desktop

Have courage you will make it: everytime now I access a pc running 2000 or 98 looks like Cheops tomb to me!
And don't trust people from far north: life is colourful just like XP where the sun shines :P

Control panel is on the left bar in "My Computer"

You can change the looks to win9x, but changing the layout, is a different matter

WinXP - all the headaches on 98, but in a pretty enviroment :P

there's nothing wrong with XP you just gotta know where everything is, ok things are in some weird places but on the whole XP is the best OS so far, Microsoft finally doing something right......

u dont' wana do that the main reason i have xp is coz it loox way better and all new layout, menus, graphics, icons, taskbar and @!#$...

u get xp and go back to the classic look? wtf? :p

The classic look is easier to find stauff cos its in the same place as all the previous version of windows

On my 350Mhz, XP runs 100 times better in classic view

Note that XPs layout is actaully a mess. Theres about 70 undocumented programs

One of which is the old version of windows media player - put in for slower comps cos its less graphic intensive.

So why didnt Micropoofs tell us it was there then?

WinXp has got to be better than the Pile of S*** WinME you were using Dumbass m8 :O))))

Well its good OS, but theres too many compatibility issues with it

For instance, my brandnew cable modem is not 100% compatible with XP - even tho its brand new

I mean, FFS M$, what are you playing at? You even have problems with your own Steering wheels in this OS!!
