Wow, very good news indeed. A tremendous project and a breath of fresh air as far as the reconstruction of the circuit went. The changes were designed by a company called Populous and I read pieces from them how they seeked and succeeded to understand how to create layouts which promote overtaking and real challenges for a driver. They clearly devised this new Arena section with an entirely different approach than the one with which Hermann Tilke designed his cookie cutter boredoms since 2001.
So I like this configuration, which I believe is not only challenging and provides ample opportunities to overtake, but also features slightly quicker corners than the previous shape. Abbey became faster obviously and the decreasing radius entry to Brooklands also became quicker and harder to tackle.
I can't wait.
