just wondering if anyone knew? i hope they don't leave it at GP4. once they got the game sorted with the official patch it was clearly the best F1 sim ever in my mind. and i'm sure that starting with GP3, microprose/infogrames/simergy bought 4 or 5 championship liscences! ie, 1998 (GP3), 2000 (GP3 2000), 2001 (GP4), 2002 (GP5) and 2003 (GP6) because infogrames wanted a yearly franchise!!! surely geoff crammond can't leave it at GP4, there is still so much more that can be acheived. now that GP4 exists, that is the foundations for GP5, most of the work is done. now they can spend time working on parade laps and safety cars, penalties, blue and red flags etc!!!!

Probably not. Politics, bugs, backstabbing, money, facilities, competition, technology. Still, you never know!

....................I quite like this now.

Didn't Microprose dissolve after GP4?

Microprose 'dissolved' before GP4. They dissolved around the time of GP3 2k, which is why the relase was put back.
Infogrammes published GP4

I haven't got those games but I feel that there are not too many areas that need updating like players' name and small graphical aspects. They can't complain cos they know that they can get a new game every year or two.

Well, Simergy is still there. What about if Simergy moves to EA Sports, and Papyrus too! We would have a mix of F1 2002-GP Legends and Gp4!!!!!!!!!!!!

Infogrames Melbourne House has released Grand Prix Challenge for the PS2. I've wondered if this was the reason that Infogrames cut ties with Crammond's group in favor of releasing their own GP game - if it makes the jump to PC.

Liverpool Studio was responsible for the 2001 2002 gp games on PS2

It is a shame a housing or church company is now in place of Microprose in Chipping Sodbury
