This is a Grand Prix 4 forum, right?

The download of the "F1 1995 mod" that you reference in this thread is in the F1 2002 download section of the website, not the Grand Prix 4 section.

Are you certain that this is for Grand Prix 4 and not for F1 2002, or has the website where the download is available made a mistake?

Such huge downloads are an F1 200x addon makers' trademark, rather than a GPx one, and I, for one, would like to be certain what game this is for before I spend much time trying to download it, particularly as this is one slow server, running at less then 6k/s on my DSL as opposed to the 80-110 k/s that I usually get.

mmm.....will somemone verify this , im on 56k.....IT COULD TAKE A WEEK!

I'm down to less than 2.5 k/s now, and it's getting even slower all the time.

(Lucky thing that I just picked F1 2002 out of a "bargain bin" out of curiousity to see if it would be as dissappointing as the previous F1 200x versions.)

Looking at the text it says F1 2002 (along with a lot of others things which I don't understand ) server's fine for me, 40kb/s on cable

0.7kb/s now on DSL.
Less than an estimated 70 hours to go.

As your very likely to get it quicker than me, matthewp, would you be kind enough to let us know just what is in this "1995 mod" and what game it is for?

Maybe I'll get it all this week, after all.

Then again, maybe not, as it's rapidly sinking well below 30 kb/s now.

god damn it, it's for F1 2002 I thougt for Gp4, stupid F1 2002...

You've downloaded the entire file?

look at the screens, you'll see the f1 2002 menu above. And also low reflections

AND

you'll find the 95 mod back in the f1 2002 downloads and nothing in the gp4 downlaods

It's odd that there has been no mention of this on any F1 200x forums, though

Well, as I have both games and the download is still currently running at over 20kb/s, I think I'll stick it out to the end at this point and then let you all know what it is for certain once I have it. Hopefully in another two hours or so.

guys the pictures is from f1 2002 as its a racing games site ......however the link i've posted is for a 1995 mod for GP4..believe me as i did the team art for it.

no it's not, it's for F1 2002, i've just DL it .. it requiers clean installation of F1 2002 ..

Than i went to the GP4 download link, there's nothing about 1995 mod.

This Mod tunes F1 2002 into the 1995 Season, featuring the batlle between Micheal Schumacher

-the 12 cars racing in the end of the season (without Simtek)
-all 24 drivers
-pitcrews of the season

-tuned physiks
-16 tracks of the 95 season (for more details see tracks topic)

Installing the Mod
------------------

IMPORTANT: This package will only work with a clean installation of the original f1 2002.
It is possible to keep other cars or things in your Season02/vehicles folder;
But the tracks folder has to be clean!!

PREPERATION: At least you will need ca. 300 MB of free diskspace on this harddrive, where
F1 2002 is installed.

INSTALL: Just open the .exe file and follow the instructions displayed.
The installer creates 4 subfolders in your F1 2002 main folder, called:

- 95 Anim (this is where the intro is in)
- 95 Options (all the menu and other stuff)
- 95 Save (this is where your personal things are in, e.g. career data, setups....)
- 95 Season (the heart of the mod )

The sound data for the cars will be copied to your F1 2002/sounds/car folder, but it
will not overwrite existing sound

yep, i've just played it and its most definetely for F1 2002, the cars are very nicely done especially the cockpits. The physics feel too easy too drive though IMO, they're quite a bit easier than the F1 2002 default cars which can't be right

It also lacks the correct 1995 circuits.
Nothing close to the 1995 Montreal, Hockenheim, Monza, Nurburgring, or Adelaide.

I've only taken a very quick spin, but my AI opponents seemed to be having an appalling number of mechanical failures in just the first few laps of the race.
