Guys,
Great site, probably the best GP4 site by a mile but one small critisism.
It seems lots of users (including myself) are having problems with the 9.6 patch and using editors like GP MASTER.
Some users are obviously fed up answering this question time and time again and I fully appreciate why BUT I've still to see a straight forward PLAIN ENGLISH response.
So please, help everyone not fortunate enough to be able to spend as much time as you do working with GP4. Face facts, the game is a bitch to run on most systems and only the hardcore users stick with it as far as I/we have.
After downloading about a dozen exe files and setting up various program files etc, etc, etc, I still can't make head nor tail of this problem.
If you're going to create a written solution to a problem, please don't assume that everyone is as :
A). Clued up as you are.
B). Is "running" with the same files and patches you have.
C). Is as experienced at editing programmes and games as you.

Many thanks to you and good luck.
JACKIE STEWART

P.S. COME ON COULTHARD IN 2003!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello and welcome. There is a very good answer written in plain english. Actually there are several versions of it. And you can get it/them by using the searchbutton, right above your post. Pretty much as easy to use as Google. I would like to have typed up the answer again, but I can't since I don't use the program.

Look, GP4 Master and 99.9999% of the editors were made BEFORE the patch, therefore when they find the patched version they go "erm...thats not the real gp4.exe" and they dont work from there on

they dont regonise the new version of the gp4.exe that the patch sticks in.

Thats all
