Dammit, next time I submit a boost I should check the chance of rain... now the boost has a probability of the 75% to be totally useless.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps

Not really. We used a boost in Monza when it was pouring and put a car on the second row.

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
Welcome to the beautiful San Marino circuit we all know and love as Imola. The Test Drivers get to strut their stuff at the northen Italian circuit, although they were met with damp conditions for a 30 minute qualifying session ahead of a 23 lap Feature Race.
After 30 minutes of action, the field was set.

The feature race starting grid looks like this....

All drivers managed to set a decent lap time in the relative dry weather, apart from Chris Stokel, who couldn't manage a quick lap in the dry....

Racing is expected to commence soon....

Welcome back to Imola, where the Test Drivers have formed up on the grid, ahead of a 23 Lap feature race. Dan Mills of True North Racing has the pole, ahead of the current Test Drivers points leader, Zsigmond Somogyi. Weather forecast for the weekend doesn't look good, with a predicted 75% chance of wet weather. However, the sun is shining to start this first Feature Race of the season for the Test Drivers.

Lights go green, Mills leads the field away

The run down to Turn 1....

The TSS team mates swamp Mills into the first series of turns

True North Racing boss Dan Mills under heavy attack on Lap 1

Pole sitter Mills falls back into 3rd place....

Down to the hairpin on Lap 1. Somogyi leads...

The top 3 on the first opening lap, heading into the Varianta Alta chicane....

In mid field action on Lap 1, trouble at the chicane...

Causing the field to bunch up behind...

Meanwhile, as the leaders come to the end of lap 1, TSS driver Kederer attempts a pass for the lead from his team mate...

Kederer leads over the line to start the second lap...

Kederer has opened a small gap over his team mate as the field begin Lap 2

The TSS team mates are driving away from Mills it seems...

Kederer appears to be hitting the apex's beautifully....

A close battle for the mid-points positions....

TSS hold the top two spots early on in the race....

Lap 3, and Kederer is pulling away....

Paolo Tafuro is chasing hard, with Stu Ingers just in front of him....

Positions 3 back to 8th are all within sight of each other....
Mills is holding off McGregor, whilst Ingers fends off Tafuro...

Heading onto the start/finish straight to begin Lap 4....

MAC Racing boss right on the heels of TNR boss....

ART driver Carlos Rodriguez is running in 9th in the early stages....

Paolo Tafuro is looking to overtake into Rivazza....

The passing move doesn't work, and Tafuro loses a place....

A long line of cars in the midfield, following on from Rodriguez's early drama in the lap....

AMR driver Adam Davies is looking to go past Rodriguez...

But Rodriguez is forced off line, and he finds the dirt, as he enters the Tamburello chicane...

Luckily, he rejoins the track with no damage to himself, or others!

The action settles down, with drivers finding their rythmn.....

At the end of lap 6, Tobias Kederer is building a steady lead....

Stu Ingers of Aston Martin racing is in 5th position....

Tafuro GP driver Jake Legge runs wide into the gravel....

but rejoins safely, albeit in last place...

By lap 7, the action had calmed, allowing the TV crew to show the full race standings....
Positions 1-8

Positions 9-16

Positions 17-22

And with that out of the way, we head to a commercial break....

Stuart told it on 14th:

"Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but Glen Sheppard will run a feature race for the Testers at Imola. I will run the main series."

My GPGSL Career
Part 2 of Imola Test Drivers Feature Race....

Welcome back to the San Marino GP, and the Test Drivers Feature Race....
All teams would be scratching their heads about the weather, given the supposed wet weather coming.

Race leader Tobias Kederer has no one within sight behind him...

Nathan McGregor continues to stalk Dan Mills....

Dan Paddock in 7th, behind Paolo Tafuro

Tafuro continues to apply pressure to those in front of him....

Dan Mills is in the groove today, driving beautifully...

Not caught on any of the GPGTV cameras around the circuit, Stu Ingers has fallen all the way back to last place....

Stuart Copeman runs off track....

The top 8 runners, after 11 laps...

Daniel Thomas is been chased by a hungry pack...

Hmmm, is this the start of the promised wet weather??

Dan Paddock sits in 8th place, watched on by the enthusiastic Italian crowd...

Paolo Tafuro is coming under pressure from the AMR of Adam Davies

Unseen by the GPGTV cameras, the AMR of Stuart Ingers all of a sudden is back in 21st position!

Second place driver Somogyi gambles early, hitting pit lane for a set of wet tyres. He is the first to change tyres as the track begins to get damp in places...

The track is quite wet in places, perhaps the gamble by Somogyi will pay great rewards...

Then again, other parts of the track are quite dry....time will tell what the weather does!!

On lap 16, rain beginning to fall heavily in places, the top 8 looks like this...

Mills steers the TNR entry through the wet, still on his slicks...

McGregor has closed right up behind Mills in the damp conditions

The pressure keeps coming for Mills, with the MAC Racing boss breathing right down the neck of rival team owner Mills

The pass seemed inevitable, and it is a clean move...

7 laps to go, here are the standings...

Taking a final commercial break, with the remainder of the race to follow soon....
