Screen Resolution

Hi,

Whats the best size to run the screen res at??? I am using 1024x... but I've seen that a few people use 1280x.. etc?

Anyone got any prefences?

I have a Nvidia 440mx 64mb graphics card

For MX cards, 1024 is about the best, they seem to struggle at higher resolutions presumably because of bandwith issues.

The Ti cards though, run well at higher resolutions. In fact some people, including myself ,find that the performance improves going to 1280 from 1024

I have Geforce 2 ti, and i play with almost everything at high 22fps and 1024x728 res. But my card also plays good with 1280x1024, but with 19fps and more PO in the start of tha race. i have 140-145% po there, but it drops to 90 durrring race

GP4 uses the processor more, so you really need to tell us what processor you have. But... if you have a 17" monitor go for 1024x768 and more detail rather than a higer res.

P4 1.7. But i have almost everything overclocked and now play with 25 fps

Every machine is different. I have a MX460 64Mb and I'm running at 1600 x 1200 with everything maxed out and getting 44 fps.

i run at 800*600 :P
