YAY Time to install the patch

(have we been here before)?

yes ! hooray ! time to install the patch 9.6 ! hopefuly no more ctd's. just last night gp4 ruined our multiplayer session wirh a corrupted saved game, ctd always at the same corner, sad story.

but... a few questions (have been asked before, i know, please forgive me): can the usal changes be done to gp4 1.02 ? and how ?

1. driving aids, points, basic stuff like that

2. driver and team performances

3. car liveries

4. team arts, helmets

5. carshapes

Yes and no. Some things can be done, others cant. The editors that modify the EXE file wont work whatever, but the editors that change the other files will. f1game.sav editors may or may not work, depending.

gp4.exe and f1gstate.sav are different so wont work with editors that dont support the patch

I upgraded and installed the patch and put gpx on and I have no sound

just copie your old decrypted GP4.exe v1.00 over the GP4.exe v1.02 (after making a backup off course) and you will be able to use GP4Master and CSC4b for instance. after using them and putting everything into the game just copie your backuped GP4.exe v1.02 back over the one you previously used to get racing again. This was already on this forum by the way.

That means that to update performances you need to use GPxPatch. Changing performance in CSC4 and therefore presumabely GPMaster updates the .exe (as I found out to my cost in my GP4 league)!

how do i update performances with gpxpatch ?

btw, just read in sdi's forum that there's a gp4edit 0.11 for the patched exe.
