Restoring GP4 Defaults - Advice?

I installed GP4 and immediately downloaded the carsets for the league I am running in so I don't have the default values for HP etc anymore.

What I'd like to know is how can I get back the defaults as I want to enter some hotlap competitions which require the default HP etc?

I don't really want to reinstall everything as I am too lazy but I did make a copy of the game on the HD so is there anywhere to download the data and then load it into the game using Carset Creator or similar?

Thanks for any help, unless it's just to reinstall it in which case :p

It should be no problem if you have a copy of the Gp4 folder on your HD. As far as I know you can have as many parallel installations as you want (or your HD space allows). Use one for mods and the backup copy .- which is hopefully a copy of a clean install - for hotlap competitions.

Thanks Vader but that's the problem, the copy I have on my HD is the modded game.

Would it be possible for someone to email me the data or is it too big?

Or could I find it on the GP4 HD and extract the necessary files from there?

So many questions, so little time :D

From your words I conclude that you use 1.00 (out of the box, not the patch). I have no idea what tool you have used to install the mod, but chances are high it has xchanged the exe. What if you just replace the exe? I would advice you to download the decrypted exe for 1.00. That should be enough to get the original values back into the game. (just a guess, so better backup your backup)

Copy the entire GP4 folder to another directory.
uninstall the game.
reinstall the game.
you should now have: a default GP4,
And your backed up/mod GP4

csc4 backed up the files when u ran it for the first time. there in the csc4 folder

When I said I dont want to uninstall and reinstall I meant all the modifications to the game, I had some problems doing it with GP3 2k as I am a bit fick u see
