You Must install directx 8.1 !!

Thing is, I have directx 9 installed (beta version)

Any solution to this prob as the game will not load. I just installed but hadn't noticed this before upgrading directx as I hadn't played in a while.

Use some Direct x removal proggy and install 8.1 again. Don't know if works with dx9, though. Do you know that the beta will expire after some time and your system won't start if it does? If I was you (which I am not) I'd get rid of it soon. VERRRRRRY soon.

don't use the short cut on your desk top or in program menu, instead click on your GP4.exe in your GP4 folder...... that should get it to bypass the Directx8.1 check....
also helps if you have the No CD GP4.exe too.

Just for your sake, I hope they do!

u of course can remove it and reinstall 8.1

If they dont release a version, people with 98 will be ok. Its people with XP who should be worried ebcause XP requires DX to run

BTW, how do you feel DX9 beta is for todays games??

Do you have any problems with it??

Does GP4 and F12002 (need that for the GTR2002 addon) work ok??

Does Combat flight sim 3 and FS2002 work ok??

Does GPL work ok??

Does UT2003 work ok??

hehehe...I ask becasue these are my main games/sims and I would like to try DX9.... but not if problems...

It is a beta, therefore unfinished

would u ever use an Unfinished Operating System? I woudlnt. And ebcause the OS rely so heavily on DX now, this is basicly like taking ur current, working, finished OS, and making it unfinished
