**HOPE FOR XP USERS*

Like many others I have never been able to play GP4 on my new XP machine - 512 mg RAM - Athlon 1.41 ghz - S3 Pro-Savage 8 (integrated) video card.
Being both impatient and a sucker for performance I just installed a Nvidia GeForceMX 440 and am happy to say I can finally play the game (it no longer crashes to desktop as it loads a race.)
The suspicion of a hardware conflict seem to be confirmed.
It looks great but can anyone tell me how to rerassign some of the keyboard controls to my steering wheel buttons - I'm stumped - BTW
the new menu really sucks!

ive never had problems. less then 100% PO every lap, every race, every time :D

Ive never had XP problems either. Thats why I always thought it was a hardware conflict.

yep i think that s3 was the prob, not xp, not had any problems with xp here either

I am using winXP Pro, and I had one problem, but I'm not sure that the problem was because winXP

i used to have problems (ok i admitt it) so i installed the via-4-in-1 drivers and its perfect :D (taht was a p;roblem with all games tho)

Installing the "via-4-in-1" drivers does only make sense if your mainboard has a VIA-chipset. If it hasn't, installing will improve nothing. It might even screw your system.
