Saitek R440 Wheel + Pedals

Hi,
Can anyone please help me with the problems I am having with getting
a Saitek R440 Wheel and Pedals to work with GP4. I cannot get GP4 to acknowledge that I have pedals as well as a wheel connected.

Has anyone got a way around this

I have just bought an R440 & am having problems on GP4 as well as GP3.
