sorry, but i have to do this :P

this is strange. but i lined up on exactly the same grid slot, (number 5) but they are in different positions :S

please ignore the car graphics in gp4 (i need to update them :P and the names again).

GP4 gets 1 point for the grand stand seats (3d and not flat).
F12002 gets 3 points for the road detail (is that a new track or something?)
F12002 gets 1 point for better clouds :P
Gp4 gets 5 points for being easyer to find fan sites :P
F12002 gets 1 point for being nicer to edit

F12002 gets 4 points, for when you have changed the *.PRL file, you can have great physics :D and it gets easyer to control then gp4 (a 1:18 at silverstone :D)

I posted a thread with pics from GP4 and F1 2002 way back. GP4 won.

How about geometrical perspective. F12002 is like looking through a wide angle lens. Look how far the starting lights appear from only the fifth grid slot. So does GP4 but much less so. GP4 gets a few more points for more realistic perspective.

And you have beter far sight inGP4. Look how much clearer you can see the first corner in GP4 compared to the more blurry view in F1 2002. I am not quite sure, though, if this colourfull and bright happiness is really an advantage. GP4 tends to look too much like plastic toys, whereas F1 2002 has more "cars are really in use" touch. It is a bit like the clean Startrek ships compared to the dirty ones you see in Starwars. <But this might just be a matter of taste ...

yeah, i prefer f12002's graphics, but gp4's feel. to get the most out of f12002 you need to install sum custom stuff

the things i wish could be ported over from f12002 into gp4 is the turn in oversteer when lifting off the throttle and the loss of grip carrying in too much speed into a braking area & being able to catch it ok

i remember ellis mentioning about the black bit being required on the nose part to enable the suspension to be black but yours seems to negate this

"i remember ellis mentioning about the black bit being required on the nose part to enable the suspension to be black but yours seems to negate this"

almost

You need the black triangle on top of the side pods to have black suspension and T-Cam

Im not sure which part of the black triangle it use's tho. I think its only the bottom part, and you can get rdi of the rest of it without having yellow suspension.

oh and the reason for the different slots is that in GP4 most of the pole positions are on the wrong side of the grid

points off for the arms looking plastic, and the textures on top of the cocpit nose not lining up

the tyre makrs on the ground dont look nice- and anyway - the race hasnt started - so why are they there?

I love how the F1 200x pit buildings and stuff are sooo wrong :)

the arms look better then gp4 (goto track cam and look at them), the jordan is wrong any way isnt it? it has benson and hegdes in real life

the wet weather tyre treads dont spin properly :S
in brazil, in sector 1, the tyres dont touch the ground :o
the suspension doesnt look right (its not touching the wheels)
the inside of the wheels are strange :s

ok ok, i take off 4 points from f12002 :P

"it has benson and hegdes in real life"

Tabacco - GP4 dont have it either. Point is, the textures on the nose dont even line up - thats terrible!

The arms in GP4 are only really designed for T-cam, but they look real. The arms in F1 200x are proper objects in 3D, but look terrible cos they look plastic!
