In Simulation, what is the difference between the Driver and Non-Driver track setting? Why is it more spread on a 'Driver track'?
thank you aaron, but got the file already from Steven :)

yes, I think this worth an explanation.

As you may have seen, in GP4 the driver grip increases or decreases the speed a driver will have when taking a curve. In tracks with slow turns (Bahrain, Magny Cours...) the grip is not so important as in tracks like Barcelona, Silverstone, SPA, where there are lot of fast turns and grip has much more importance so, non-driver tracks (I accept suggestions for a better naming) are those which are basically straights ans slow turns. "Driver" tracks are those with more fast turns. The same can be applied to power tracks and non-power tracks. In some of them power is more important than in others...

A compromise have to be taken. I couldn't find the right setup for any track.

Out of curiosity, does anyone still have this program lying around?

It seems I forgot to make a back up when I upgraded my computer and all the links are dead.

I simply have to ask this question now.
This is such a great tool, but in the latest version / latest here available version the qualy- and the race-performance are mixed up, sadly.

It would be great to be able to make some good simulations for possible race results.

So, has this bug ever been fixed in a later version?

I marked the mentioned bug above ;-).

I know, a lot of people are using a performance file in which the qualy and race-performances are quite similar, so they won't notice this bug that quickly, but I think it it quite important to fix it, if possible ;-).
Using the link that Jürgen kindly provided, everything is working just fine ;-)

You're right ;-). But if you imported any performance-file, you will see, that your perfoarmances are mixed up as well.

I just made some further investigations and found out, that the PerformanceEditor mixes up qualy- and race-performances while importing an existing performance-file. When I export it again, the performances are still mixed up.

So the 'import'-feature is the only feature beeing affected by this bug.

EDIT: Only the car's horsepower is mixed up. Driver's performances (in general and the variances) are fine!

Very sad, that no one noticed this bug from release up to now :(.

Well I'll be damned, so it is!

I guess it's not been noticed to until now because with the work of people like Gitanes, the vast majority of mods released nowadays use the same BHP levels for quali and race.
