"Infogrames wishes to make it clear that the patch for Grand Prix 4 labeled "patch 4.0" and released on the website 2 September 2002 has now been withdrawn. The patch was produced and released in error by Infogrames without the authorisation or participation of Simergy Limited or Geoff Crammond. Infogrames would like to offer its sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. A replacement patch will be made available shortly."

Now how could this opf happened?

If this appology is true, then ill except it. I could never believe Geoff would put his name to the patch.

I like it. An official apology and the "worst patch ever!" withdrawn. That does sound promising. Although I will probably play the wait and see game on how the next patch looks before I accept any apologies.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

I agree morbid. I can only accept the apology if the next patch isnt the 4.0 patch with a more detailed readme and a version change to 4.1 or something.

If they want to make sure there name is in the claer then they will produce a patch i think too.

Otherwise they know we all have a very buggy game produced by them

I agree, they need to patch all the major bugs in like a super update. When thats done AND works, they need to look at the smaller bugs.

Excellent point Neil !!!!

I hope, if a real patch will be released ,that will be very far from 4.0,because we don't absolutelly need a 4.1 with a more detailed readme,we NEED an exaustive 10.5 .
