Folks,

Now I see what everyone is talking about regarding how good Gp4 really looks!!!

Before I had a p3 933, Voodoo5 running win98 with 256 P133 SDRAN

now I just built a system around Xp 2000+, Geforce4 ti 4200 128MB, PC2700 512MD DDR ram and man here is the results..oh also running XP stock

before I was getting 18fps with most things at med or turned off
now i'm getting 38fps (with auto calibrate)

I can't imagine what its gonna be after I turn off the un-needed XP services and tweak the graphics card a bit more

I really notice the difference in speed when i come into a chicane and power out....amazing!!!

The cars are too shinny though

what sort of tweaks to xp do u do? oh, and nice new sys u got urself

If anyone is interested about the difference in frame rates between a GF4 MX440 and GF4 Ti4400 have a look at the results i got when i changed over.

System:
Win XP
AMD 2100+
512mb DDR PC2700
MSI Kt333 Chipset
Hercules Game theater Sound

GP4 Settings:
Resolution 1280x1024
Most thing on high
video walls off
mirrors no objects
PO 85-95(110Max)

GF4 MX440 GF4 Ti4400 GF4 Ti4400 @1600x1200
30FPS Always (Fraps) 45FPS (Fraps) 40FPS(Fraps)

That should read

GF4 MX440=30FPS(Fraps)
GF4 Ti4400=45FPS(Fraps)
GF4 Ti4400 @1600x1200=40FPS(Fraps)

but what i meant was in my 98 system = 18fps
in my xp system = 45 currently

what setting does everyone use for the anti-alaising setting (sp?) ?
