Hi mate, how's the carset creator evolution goes?
i'm asking that cos' i think it's one of the most reliable tools for GP4 around... and i definetly liked to see all the other menus working also ;)

i mean.. we know that it's a pain to make realistic cars because of the strange mapping of the plain cars skins..

example: read the txt from Ralph's Williams car

some guys were complaining of not finding easily the way of loading the new "helmet face" (top) to the Carset Creator... so it was good to have a separate button...

if not that's ok for me

to load the helmet face you just need to change the filter u use.

click load, and where it says "Load Helmets" click on it and select "Load Face"

you then load it the same way as a helmet.

atm theres no error controlls on it so if u load an incorrect TGA then ure pretty much screwd when u export :P

i know that mate... and i've explained that to 3 or 4 guys already... i know how to use it, but some guys are not clever enought o find that out :D

I downloaded that great 2002 helmet set by the French geezer, but to export them with CSC4 they need to be TGA files. How can I change them from .tex to TGA files easily to be able to export them with CSC4?

erm, atm u cant load tex helmets :( (1 thing i forgot to do, /me is loading delphi...)

if you can find a way to convert from tex to tga (this is a long shot, and not tested - off the top of my head - but try this):


load the tex helmet as a car, save as a tga
DO NOT CLICK EXPORT if u click export then that car is corrupt

mates is easy!!!!!!!
with gp4Master you have a TEX Workshop.. all you have to do is load the Tex file and then click on the "Extract selected file" button.. then you'll have a TGA file ;)

it works.. that's how i am doing all the time ;)

csc4, beta4, loading helmets from > TGAs = supported > TEXs = supported :P
