help with TGA

The point is: they swapped faces between Eddie Jordan and Peter Sauber. Ok, I know, qwerty doesn't believe it, but don't fuss
Well I want to fix it.
The probles is: I cannot manipulate *.tga cause I let (shame on me ok) expire paint shop pro.
So I'm forced to use Paint from Windows.
My plan is: extract TGAs, load them with Irfanview, seve them as *.bmp, do the cut and paste stuff with Paint, load the BMPs back with Irfanview, save thm as TGA and the rest is quite obvious.
The question is: do you think it could work out or no?
If no I will not bother downolading and installing Irafanview....

LOL i just downloaded that program ... it worked for me, bmp -> jpg, it sure would work with tga

No it doesn't with TGA because it seems that can only save them in 24bit and not 32

Does bmp contain the alpha channel too? or can paint and irfanview handle it?

the problem is converting it to a bitmap.

this process corrupts the alpha channel. u need to get a newer graphics editor

I've come to a dead end. I've modified the files and the guys got their right faces back.
CC4 did his work like expected, but now if I try to launch the game starting with practice or qualifying it crashes.
Any suggestion?

BTW it crashes even if I load back the original files as saved from CC4.

That's really odd. Have the .tga files changed in size? That may cause a problem. Good to see you've solved the problem.
