details or fps

I have a P4 2 GHz with a Geforce 4 mx 420 Video card. I enjoy the sights of 800 x 600 x 16 resolution. With that what would be the best for my racing expirience. Framerate of 25 and medium graphics with low reflections and shadows. Or 40 fps with high car geometry and highest pitcrew and texture.

lol Ellis! I got the same specs mate - with Alan's graphics.cfg file you can run 1024x768x16 with good graphics around the 50 fps mark.

I just tried this file and its a joke man! All the textures are on low, theres no mirriors, cocpit visors or anything!! LOL!!

The fps may be 50, but wots the point when the game looks like GP3?

I would MUCH rather have 17fps and full details than 50fps and GP3!

Im sooo glad i backed up my old one!

also, i installed new, hi detail versions of the 2002 cars, and with this set, the textures are o low so the cars dont work!

All the textures are on low, none of the new cars i nstalled work or anything! Theres not even a point in trying it!
