Just throw the whole cars folder into slimtex, it will pick out the tex files, and then simply select all and right click and choose either 1/2 the size or 1/4 the size, press convert and it's done for you

It's much quicker than manually doing them all one by one, like with texresizer. Slimtex is an immensely powerful tool for handling and converting tex files and can be a real time saver

i didn't know that. that's really helpful.
sometimes i especially wonder about the size of helmet textures. i personally can't see that much of a difference when using 2048x512 compared to lower res (except it hurts my po )
but that's why we have tools like slimtex

Is it possible to add more updated engine sounds to the mod? The boring 2001 sounds don't sound too good for a modern F1 year (sorry for pleonasm :P ). If possible to add more recent engine sounds can someone point me to a download link?

Yeah, like with helmets, I put all the tex's in the right folders and then throw the whole helmets folder into slimtex and it does all the hard work in a few seconds

Sorry for my noobness but where can I find updated engine sounds for 2008, or at least 2007? Tried googling but wasn't successful :/

Try this here, mate. There are two 2006 soundpacks for the V8 engines, so it works fine for the 08 mod

The first Update (v1.1) ist finish. we ask Fongu, Raul & GeZeRe permission for the Red Bull and the Toro Rosso.
Fongu give us the Permission for his shapes, but we wait of the answer from Raul & GeZeRe.
