GP4 -- Performance Issue

When I get time checks or fastest laps messages, GP4 slows down, I am running it on 640mb of ram, 1.4ghz amd thunderbird with a 32mb GF2 MX200 graphics card.

I have set all of the graphics to med and some to low in an effort to make it faster, the game automatically set itself to 18 FPS

Have any of you guys experienced this? and what did you do to solve them.

PS This game is AWESOME, I had the very 1st version of this on an Atari and have had every version since.... this game just gets SO much better!

Wayne, I believe that the 'sky messages' do cause slowdown on a number of gfx cards. The MX200 is quite an old card, so maybe the extra output required to draw the 2D shape as well just isnt available?

That could be the reason
