not when the arms arent connected to the helmet, i had the helmet as part of the car to get proper motion on the steering wheels but people preferred the helmet to move than proper 3d and team specific st wheels

Also loose a tyre, loose a head ;-) It'll look weird with a rotating loose head on the track!

plus peoples helmet positions wont be the same in each car compared to the wheel base. Best way is make the helmet part of the car, and the helmet lods soley use the 3d wheel and hands, it can be done realistically and massively improves the feel of gp4 as Lee has said

i especially liked the way that you can position the helmets like the real life drivers, like button slightly high up but looking down and alonso very low looking up,yeah the helmets dont move but tbh you dont really notice it

Yeh I think we might need to reconsider this as a project. Beside placing the helmet in a different rotations you might also be able to use driver specific helmet shapes - Only new schuberth, bell helmets will need to be made ;)

and then with rotate by textures disabled,you'll se a rotating helmet on car;)
