GP4 vs F1 2002 pictures

Here are 2 pictures taken just after the top chicane at Imola. One is in GP4, the other in F1 2002 both running at 1024x768, full detail on with 4x AA.

Tough call, I would probably say GP4 looks better, but F1 2002 is more impressive - if you get what I mean.

i dont like the stuff at the top in F12002

i would have to say GP4 definatly. the grass doesnt look like that on tv from f12002

GP4 for me.

F12002 colours look washed out. it's too dark and the track looks like a road in a park, not a racetrack

you can get rid of the overlays in F1 2002, I don't know why they changed their design, it looked much better in F1 2001 in the style of the tv timing bars.
Mostly i'd say F1 2002 looks better, especially the car apart from the suspension which is better in GP4

even though you can say the colours in F1 2002 look washed out, watch an onboard lap in real life and the colours look much more like in F1 2002, gp4 looks cartoony

gp4 looks clearer and more realistic, since wen have u seen all those markings at hi speed in f12002?, u just dont notice them

I wouldn't say the colours look to bold. I saw the 99 Ferrari at the Expo 2000 in Hannover amd the colour was very bold. GP4 is better in this respect. It also looks smoother than F1 2002, which looks a bit to "edgy". However, the position of the mirrows differs, In GP4 it looks like the helmet is right betweenthe, so it would be very difficult and dangerous to for the driver to look into them. Another GPx typical problem is that you always have the impression the world ends behind the fence, if you get what I mean - just compare the position of the tents.

STILL: F1 2002 is doubtlessly no serious rival to GP4 which is way above the head of other sims. EA has still got a long way to go to reach the point where the Crammond saga had satrted from.

The tarmac textures are a lot better in F1 2002... little things like the lines on the track.

f12002 looks like its just about to rain, yet it is bright and sunny

Do U think that my computer (P4 1.6, 256 MB, ATi Radeon 16Mb) will have the same detail as this pictures?

You'll need a better video card. Other than that, it should run fine.

The argument about the colours is a very interesting one.

F1 2002 being too faded and GP4 being too bold.

I think F1 2002's colours are more like what would be seen on television, but GP4's colours are the similar to those in actual F1 as seen from the driving seat.
