I have this problem. Where can i find the lod1, lod2, ... car files in the wad?

I don't want to open a new thread for this but I think that it is related to a GP4 graphic problem.
In game, I see my mirrors shapes into the mirrors (T-cam view) and I didn't find the way to fix it like I wish.
Here is a shot in game:
I precise that the mirrors shapes are attached to the cockpit object, as I use to do it, each time. The mirrors of the MP4-30 are higher than the other years but I remember that the mirrors from the Ferrari F60 were a bit similar.
The UV mapping of my z_cockpit_X_mirrors objects is correct, as you can see here, from the back view:
So, I tried several solutions:
- 1: I thought it could be related to the position of the car regarding the pivot center but even when I move the car on the z-axis: The problem remains the same.
- 2: I have rescaled the edges of my z_cockpit_X_mirrors uvmapping: The mirrors shapes aren't visible anymore but the background image in external mirror view is streched. So, wrong solution.
- 3: I had a look at the f1graphic file, and particullary on this line: 16 ; Magnify mirror (16 => normal <16 wide >16 zoom)
..allows you to make a zoom in or out from the position. Under 16, I can zoom in the cockpit until the mirror shapes disappear but it makes the helmet and engine cockpit bigger.
That's the only solution I found. But it means that the modification applies to all the cars...
So, I wonder how to fix this problem or if there is an option to disable the mirrors shapes in T-cam view.

Last trials before to find the better solution to fix it:
4- I moved the T-cam position but the mirror view remains the same whatever is the T-cam position. So, not fixed.
5- I replace the mirrors by correct ones which didn't show the mirror shapes: not fixed.
It seems that it depends only on the position of the mirror shapes on the cockpit. Higher they are positioned on the cockpit, better are the chances to see them.
The only way I found is to modify the f1graphics file:
8 ; Magnify mirror (16 => normal <16 wide >16 zoom)
By reducing the value (16 by default), the mirrors will make a zoom in from your position to the cockpit. Try to reduce the value until you don't see the mirrors shapes anymore: Fixed.

You normally position your cars quite a long way forwards on the Y-axis Arnaud - what if you move it backwards so the front wheel position is around Y=1.14 (The original GP4 front wheel tyre position)?

Yes, Tom. I tried to move the car forward and backward, too but the result is the same. The problem is not related to the position of the car on the axes but the position of the mirrors shapes on the cockpit. And the Mclaren MP4-30 has got particulary high mirrors shapes.
Lenght, width and height has changed a lot since 2002, so that's why actual F1 can't get original GP4 wheel tyres positions (well, it would be possible by rescaling the whole car but too much work. I have got enough to do, yet! ^^ ). But it is not related to the matter above. I will try to take account of what you said, at least, for front wheel positions for the future F1, if possible... depending of the center pivot of the car.
But anyway, as I said, the problem can be simply fixed by modifying the f1graphics file:

"Shadows cutting tyres issue"
Hello everybody,
I encountered this "shadow-issue" and thought it might belong here, since i could not find any other topis relating to this issue.
At least in the Screenshot-Topic i could not find any pictures showing the same type of shadows.
It appears that my car's shadows are slightly over the ground (~10cm) and "cut" the tyres. I have the issue with all of my mods as well as with the original GP4:

I have a question concerning the line below in the f1graphics.cfg:
If i set this to "8" instead of "7" (which is the most used setting i have found in most of the shared f1graphics.cfg), i note a (in my opinion) huge improvement in the overall textures-quality. Especially trees look more sharp, less "flat" and in general more realistic.
On the other hand, setting it to "8" results in strange issues like trackside objects not beeing in the right order:
Does anybody know more about this setting and how to solve the problem. Sure, i'm fine with "7" as well, but "8" would be better.

I've found out that setting the "Antialiasing" (and all the others settings) to max (32x CSAA) directly in the game-related Nvidia-Settings (i'm using an old GTX 760) gives a huge improved to the GP4-graphics without an imapct on the cpu-occupancy showed in GP4. This leads to the assumption, that the occupancy showed in-game is not true. Even if i reach 130% in GP4, the task-manager shows only 20%.
