This sounds very cool, I believe I will actually have plenty of time this summer to spend in the US (as opposed to being in Brazil and away from Photoshop) so maybe I could look into doing some texturing work. But I don't know how to map and believe my bodyline making skills/shadows would suck, and you guys seem to be doing well in the helmet department but it's worth a try eh? :p

I don't really have any kind of a portfolio to present, but I am interested in learning to paint cars. I have done some skins for some flight sims in the past, painted my own helmet for GP4, modified and tweaked various tex files in Gp4 and mip files in GPL, but thats about all.

If you are willing to be patient and teach someone from the ground up how to do it right, I would be very willing to give it a go. PM me if that sounds good to you...

i am relatively new to painting in gp4, my only projects so far have been 2007 liveries on 2006 shapes, such as my mclaren mp4-22 project, but if there are any spaces left i would love to improve my skills further, especially with details

same as jag and gui for me, i can paint cars but painting details like the ones in STR cars are completely unknown to me

the only cars i have ever painted was my 2 RaltWest Honda and a reworked Aguri skin for rFactor

Helmets is were i am good, im always talking with roberto yermo to create new fantasy helmets, hehehe

Actually, we are quite lazy and joint lines are just a black line and the relief is done ingame by the normal map.
Details are mostly simple layers with special layer-styles.
